Remedial Massage

Remedial massage encompasses a variety techniques to facilitate optimal function in the musculoskeletal system to prevent or recover from strains, sprains or pains
Deep Tissue

Deep tissue and NMT techniques can release tension deep within the muscles and tendons to increase circulation, accelerate tissue repair, aid detoxification and promote a deeper sense of wellbeing
Myofascial Release

Myofascial Release techniques focus on balancing and freeing restrictions in the connective tissue network of the body. Fascia surrounds and supports all of the muscles, nerves, organs, tendons, joints and is closely intertwined with the autonomic and peripheral nervous system.
Abdominal Massage

Abdominal massage can release tension and restrictions held within the abdomen to improve digestion, promote deeper breathing, aid the internal organs, support musculoskeletal balance in the body and calm the nervous system
Scar Tissue Release

When the body experiences injury or trauma, new tissue forms to repair the damage. This tissue can become rigid and pull on surrounding areas. Over time this pull can affect the function and flexibility of tissues locally and potentially cause imbalances in biomechanical function bodywide
Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger Point Therapy is a technique protocol designed to deactivate consolidated tension areas in muscles that can contribute to acute or chronic pain syndromes in the body

About
Trained in Therapeutic, Sports and Remedial Massage at Maui School of Therapeutic Massage with double certification in Myofascial Release.
I have always been fascinated by the intrinsic and intelligent forces that shape the natural ecosystems of the world around us. I became intrigued by those same dynamics within us, after doing a detox cleanse that catapulted me into a journey to better health and wholeness. The journey was full of valuable lessons and detours along the way, eventually leading me to Hawaii where I trained to become a massage therapist. It became clear to me then, that I had found my passion job.
After graduation I continued to travel and develop my ever evolving treatment style, drawing from the inspirational work and research of the bodyworkers, authors and educators that precede me.
I came back to New Zealand in 2018 where I have settled into a simple life close to nature. I enjoy gardening, tramping, reading and crafting things by hand out of wood or clay in my spare time.
